Here’s something new…I think I’ll give it a try. As you are probably well aware, my music section is looking rather bare and outdated. So, I thought it would be a good idea to bring someone who actually knows what they’re doing, as opposed to me, who just tries to arrange Catholic hymns because that’s all she knows how to do.
So without further ado, I present to you Fenwick the Grape (she chose the title, you can ask her the next time she comes by!) and her amazing musical talent!
Good after evening to you all, and welcome to… me?
My name is Fenwick, and I have been cordially invited by my dear Feather to bring music to you all.
I’m very out of touch with writing but I look forward to
boring entertaining you all with my tales of musical endeavours.
I figured for my first post here, I might tell you a little bit about what I do in the world. I’m a musician, primarily, as of the past five or so years, a vocalist. I specify it in this way, because my path into musicianship was via the piano. Well, a keyboard about 1ft long, barely two octaves to play with and keys with as much depth as Kim K’s personality.
I was about 3 years old and could play the “Titanic song” really well and virtually nothing else. Fast forward through years of various music classes, forced theory lessons, scores upon scores of Christian choral hymns, dirges and madrigals, a few school concerts, one year of having no idea what I was doing, followed swiftly by 4 years of music university, and here I am, a (dashing) bachelor of music (without the honours because I forewent writing my dissertation…We’ll get to that another time. Probably.).

I’m not some national star, I’m not even well-known, but here and there I perform at gigs, and here and there I actually manage to produce my own music. It’s a rare and sacred occurrence but an achievement nonetheless. With these little Kodak moments I intend to share my musical adventure with you, vicariously through my keyboard. Maybe a picture or video here and there.
Speaking of, I probably should leave you with at least a little something to get to know me by. The note is mightier than the text. Or something majestic like that.
So tell me…
And so we begin.
Well, what do you think? Love it? Hate it? Comment below, we love the reviews…plus those who do review get cookies…not really, we don’t have cookies, but if we did, you’d get them!
See you guys next time!
This is Feather, signing out!
