Let’s Be A Walking Carpet – A Review On Toni And Guy’s Reconstruction Hair Masque

Hello Everyone!

No, this is not a Star Wars post (sorry!). Actually, today I’ll be talking about a new hair product I’ve been using recently. It’s a hair masque by Toni and Guy. You can buy this product from Boots for around £7.00.

I only bought it because I wanted to try something new, in terms of heat spray, since I got tired of using Tresemme’s Keratin Smooth Heat Spray. I ended up buying the mask with the Toni and Guy heat spray, since it was on offer. They were selling Toni and Guy products 2 for £9.00! How could I pass that up! Anyway, read on if you want to know what I thought of it!

 The Product Itself

The name of the hair masque is Toni and Guy Damage Repair Hair Masque. You can get the gist of it, you smooth it into your hair, you wait a couple of minutes, then you rinse it off. Below you can see the description Boots has for the product

That’s right, this product is mostly for damaged hair, meaning the strands easily break and you’ll most likely have tons of split ends. Now, my hair is quite thick, so the easily breaking part isn’t that much of a problem, but the ends do get dry, and although I haven’t found any yet, I know that I have a couple of split ends, whether I like it or not. So, I do need something to keep that at bay. Which is why I need a hair masque.

What I’ve Used In The Past

Now, I’m used to using leave-in hair conditioners, and the brand I’ve been using up until now was the Aussie Deep Treatment Moisture Infuser. While I do like this product, and the way it smells, I wasn’t sure it was doing much for my hair. Yes, it made it smooth for a while, but I just couldn’t see or feel the difference. So, trying something new was definitely a necessity.

Of course, that’s not to say it won’t work for other people. I’d say if you want to try Aussie go for it, it’s only a couple of pounds cheaper, and you’ll have nicer smelling hair for it, plus there are great deals on Aussie products at the moment, so if you want to try them out, now’s your chance!

Big Decision Time

Ok, so it’s time for the big review. What do I think about Toni and Guy’s hair masque? I absolutely love it. No joke! It’s awesome, and worth the money I paid for it. Not only do I feel the difference in my hair, I can tell my hair seems a lot healthier than what it used to be (of course I also use oils to ensure maximum health).

It was the day after I’d used the masque (since I shower in the evening), and I was out and about at work. I noticed how light my hair felt. Note that I have long hair, not to mention it’s thick as well, so it can get quite heavy. However, with this masque it didn’t feel like my hair was long, and I kept running my hands through it, to feel how soft it was. I didn’t understand why my hair was so soft, until I realised I used the masque the day before, and yes the softness lasted the entire day, up until I showered.

Usually, my hair gets pretty tangled at the end of the day, and it only smooths out when I shower again, but even if I was covered in dust and sweat, my hair stayed clean as a whistle. So, yes, I’d definitely recommend this product to anyone who’d what smooth hair throughout the day. I think this masque will definitely be a staple in my life, for now, unless I find something else, which I highly doubt.

So that’s my review for this week. If you have any comments about the hair masque, let me know! What do you think about the product? Is there anything similar you’d like to suggest? What product would you like me to review next? I’ll see you guys next time! Oh, and if you haven’t already, check out the other sections of this blog, you never know what else you’d like to try.
