Feather’s Crafts: Six Sides To A Drink

Hello Everyone!

It’s been a while since I’d written up a pattern for you guys. Sorry about that, I was working on the Bernat’s Sampler Blanket. I have a post on it, if you’d like to check it out. It took me a while, purely because I don’t have all day to work on it, but I’ve finally finished it, so now I can work on other projects, and here is the first of many!

The Six Side Coaster

It’s called the Six Side Coaster, because…well…it’s a hexagon. I decided to make these coasters because I was inspired by crochet posts I’d found on Pinterest. Most granny squares are used for other decorative uses, but I thought having coasters would be a great way to use these squares.

I’m pretty proud of these little bad boys, they’re super easy to make, and once you get the hang of it, you’ll probably have enough to fill an entire wall with these granny squares. Maybe one day, I’ll turn it into a blanket, or a hanging wall piece, but for now, they’ll just be used as coasters.

Pattern, Price and Materials

As usual, here’s the price, pattern and materials for this coaster.

The Materials

Yarn A: Patons Royal Blue 100% Cotton 4 Ply Yarn

Yarn B: Patons Peacock 100% Cotton 4 Ply Yarn

Yarn C: Patons Green 100% Cotton 4 Ply Yarn

3.00mm Crochet Hook

The Pattern

So, here’s the pattern for this coaster. Of course, it’s not polished, I don’t create patterns on a regular basis, but one day, when I do, I probably will look back at these, and re-write them.

The Six Side Coaster

It’s very easy to copy, it’s just double crochets, and single crochets, but I think my format might not be easy to understand. If you do attempt this pattern, and find difficulty with understanding it, just send us a message! I’m sure I’ll be able to help!

The Price

Ok, so the price is a tricky one. I was tempted to sell these for £2.99, for a pack of 4, but having a look back at the Granny Square Trials, ones, I’ve decided to sell them at the same price.

At least you’ll have a choice of two coasters now!

Well, that’s it from me today, it’s your turn! What do you think about these coasters? Do you like them? Would you buy them? Or, if you’re a crochet master, would you try them out, and improve them? Let us know! Leave your tips in the jar below, and we’ll see you soon!
