Feather’s Fashion: New Career Paths

Hello Everyone!

As I mentioned last week, Feather is now on a new mission to become a model! So, as practice, I’m taking to Instagram with new pictures and a new style! This week, I’m taking the “Urban” look, and revamping it. So, take a look below!

World Class Inspiration

First off, before I show you the pictures, I’d like to share with you the inspiration for these outfits. Lately, I’ve been influenced by (the now disbanded) 2NE1. These sassy and fierce ladies hail from South Korea, and each one has their own style. For instance, they can look rather futuristic, or very street worthy. Their style is bold and daring, and I adore the way they look! I mean just look at Sandara Park (the one with the antenna-like hairdo)! She’s rocking that weird and crazy look, and it suits her! That takes a lot of confidence, and I am rather envious of it.

However, the main influence of this look is none other than the lead rapper, CL, who is daring a breakthrough in the USA, and I can’t wait for her new album to drop, even if it takes two more years! Anyway, back to the style side of things. You can see how she rocks the “mock gangsta” look, and I’ve been slowly inching towards that style myself. Of course, I don’t think I’ll be as fierce as that, but hey, everybody has to start somewhere!

My Turn

Alright, so enough inspiration talk, here is my take on things.

This first outfit is from H&M (no I’m not endorsed by them, I’m just telling you where I got my clothes from).  The top I recently bought for £12.99 (I think…even looking at the receipt I’m still a little confused). The baseball cap was £8.99. The jewellery was bought from either H&M or New Look, I can’t remember, and the prices also escape me, because they were bought a while ago, but I’m sure you can find something similar if you browse around the accessories area in the shop.

The second outfit, is again from H&M. I’m using the same hat, but with a cropped hoodie. You can’t see it, because of the camera angle, but if you check out the H&M website, I’m sure you’ll find it there. It costs £12.99 and is rather comfortably warm, despite the exposed torso. Again, I’m using the same earrings, which I bought a while ago, but you can still find them in the jewellery section at H&M.

Yes, I’m recycling some of the items, but hey, isn’t that what High Street fashion is for? Anyway, these are but a few of the images I’ll be posting up on my Instagram this week. If you’d like to check out more, why don’t you follow me at feathercharm, I’d be glad for the company.

So, now it’s your turn. Do you have a favourite style? What is your inspiration? Have you got a favourite look? Share it with us, and leave your tips in the jar below. See you soon!
