Feather’s Day Trips: Episode 7 – Chilled Meetings and Great Burgers

Hello Everyone!

It’s that time of the week, where I’ll be exploring London by its fantastic sights! This week, I’ll be talking about a relatively local place that I’ve only recently come to enjoy. It’s a sports pub (imagine that!) called…

I was only recently introduced to it, thanks to a good friend of mine. If you’d like to know what I thought read on!

The Outside

On the street, you couldn’t miss it. It’s on the corner of Hammersmith High Street, and its grey and black façade stands out against the red and brown neighbours. When I first saw it, I thought it was quintessentially British and I wondered why I had never tried this pub before (truth be told, I never really wanted to go to new places, without a friend, because I preferred staying at home than going to places).

If you don’t mind the busy streets of Hammersmith, then I suggest getting down to Belushi’s. It’s a very spacious bar (especially during the day), and you’re not too far from the station, if ever you want to travel further into Central London.

The Inside

Like I said before, the pub is very spacious. Just look at the walking space between the tables! Of course, because I was at a meeting, I didn’t want to be too comfortable in a booth, so I decided that one of the high tables were a better option, of course, it’s all the way in the back, so no one would disturb us too badly, while we were discussing business. Oh! Say hi to Sugar Daddy!

Despite its mansion-like vibe, I did like the decoration and the interior designs. The exposed brick and the stressed wood gave it a rustic feeling that appealed to the inner interior designer in me. I even liked how they arranged their table decorations; using an old Jack Daniels bottle as a vase is a nice touch.

The Menu

Now, I’m not one for fast food (especially when burgers and fries end up tasting like cardboard). Of course, being a pub, you’d expect them to have such cardboard tasting food, but thankfully their burgers are seasoned perfectly! I think the last time I was here, I had their classic burger, and that was…good but forgettable. This time, however, I had their Bourbon BBQ Melt, and as soon as I had finished it…I missed it!

Just look at the sticky, gooey goodness that is this burger!

I have never missed a burger as soon as I’d finished it as badly before, in my life! I highly recommend this burger. I have no other reason to recommend it other than the fact that you’ll miss it as soon as you finish it. I think the next time I visit this place, I’ll try their Black and Blue!

The Verdict

If you want to be a part of the mad football or sports crowd they’re sure to have during the evenings, then come to Belushi’s around 6ish to have a hand in the fun! If you’d like a chilled afternoon, with a few good friends and a few good drinks, then come during the day. I’m sure whatever business you have, you’ll get through it in no time and simply hang out with a couple of good stories!

That’s it from me today, I’ll see you next week with another story snippet! It’s your turn now. Let us know if you’ve been to Belushi’s before. What did you think of it? Are there any other pubs you can recommend. I think it’s time I went on a pub crawl myself (maybe not in the drinking sense…since I don’t drink…but I’ll definitely try their food!). Let us know in the comments below, and I’ll see you guys soon!
